World Bank Delegation Visits PITB

A World Bank delegation visited PITB to get acquainted with PITB implemented ICT interventions in Punjab in the areas of Citizen Feedback and e-Governance with special focus on Public School Monitoring & citizen facilitation. The delegation comprised World Bank representatives Akmal Minallah, Khurram Farooq and Qurat ul Ain.

On behalf of Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf, PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif gave an overview of the relevant ICT initiatives executed in collaboration with the stakeholder departments.

PITB DG IT-Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi gave a detailed presentation on Real Time School Monitoring Systems while DG Government Digital Services Muhammad Waseem Bhatti spoke at length about the scope and services offered at e-Khidmat Centers across Punjab. Director Communication & Coordination Hasnain Iqbal gave a detailed presentation on the Citizen Feedback Monitoring Program (CFMP). The delegation also visited the e-Khidmat Center established in the premises of Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP).

PITB senior officials including Chief Information Security Officer Sajjad Ghani, Director Admin Aquil Khan, Director Software Engineering Omar Salman and Joint Director IT Solutions Sajjad Qureshi were also present.

The delegation appreciated the initiatives commenting on they are contributing to improving service delivery and bridging the gap between the government and the citizens.
