DG Environment Protection Department (EPD) Imran Hamid held a meeting with PITB to discuss the ICT interventions namely 'Air Quality Index (AQI) Predictive Model,' 'ECOWATCH,' and the 'Sans App' for the said department.
PITB representatives GIS Expert Maria Badar from the Software Engineering wing and SPM Moeen Akthar from the IT-Operations wing gave a detailed brief on the success of the ongoing initiatives for the department. They also shared the scope and purpose of the upcoming initiatives and discussed how it would benefit both the government and the citizens.
The overall purpose of these initiatives is to provide the stakeholders with real-time data for timely action. These systems and App are also assisting the department to streamline the data collection process and enable real-time reporting and updates.
