Sessions on Windows 7 App Development - 2012

Session - November 21, 2012

 

The objective of this session was to drive Application Development activities in the market and drive App development using Visual Studio and provide them with the relevant mentorship and technical support. The objective behind this session was to build eco system to drive understanding of App Development activities in the LSE.

A total of 25 participants including Developers, Students & Academicians from different Microsoft Partners and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and Universities participated in this 4 hours session. Discussions and Presentation remained focused towards the Roadmap & Concepts of App Development. Training gave participants an opportunity to learn Windows Phone 7 App Development features.

About the Trainer

Arsalan is an experienced mobile application developer with 3+ year of experience in this domain. He has strong expertise in Windows Phone. His background includes software development in analysis, design, development, debugging, documentation, and maintenance of Windows and Web applications using Object-Oriented concepts and portfolio management. Arsalan has Hands-on expertise in developing financial and SAAS applications for different international companies. He has worked on Asp.net, WPF, Silverlight, WP7 and Windows 8 metro apps, wcf and Azure services. Arsalan is currently working in Vopium A/S as senior software engineer and developing for windows phone and windows 8 RT metro apps.

The objective of this session was to drive Game Development activities in the market and drive game development using XNA platform and provide them with the relevant mentorship and technical support. The objective behind this session was to build eco system to drive understanding of Game Development activities in the LSE.

A total of 20 participants including Developers, Students & Academicians from different Microsoft Partners and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and Universities participated in this 2 hours session. Discussions and Presentation remained focused towards the Roadmap & Concepts of Game Development, XNA etc. Training gave participants an opportunity to learn Windows Phone 7 Game Development features.

About the Trainer

Mr. Muhammad Shahid Aziz is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP). He has a great track record of performance in various reputed Partners & ISVs, where his key areas of responsibilities were to develop applications, design user experiences and Implementing SharePoint 2010 based solutions. Shahid has been a developer for Windows Phone applications and has hands-on expertise in Windows 8 apps development. Shahid Aziz has a long association with the Microsoft Community and has been the part of the projects as a Technical Consultant and Trainer for Deploying SharePoint Solutions in and out of the country. His Areas of Expertise are Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, Windows Phone 7 and Windows 8 Application Development. He is currently associated with Microsoft Innovation Center Lahore as Technical Consultant.
